Delaware's three interconnected Inland Bays: Rehoboth, Indian River and Little Assawoman, all lie in southeastern Sussex County, Delaware, USA. The bays have a surface water coverage of approximately 32 sq. miles situated within a 320 sq. mile watershed (the land area which drains to the Inland Bays).It estimated that at least 80% of the freshwater inflow to the bays comes from groundwater. The bays lie in the heart of coastal Sussex County along the 25-mile stretch of resort towns from Lewes, Delaware to Fenwick Island, Delaware.
