Zachary Garmoe, Science Technician

Zachary Garmoe is the Coordinator of Environmental Science with the Center for Inland Bays. In this role, he assists with various projects including the Inland Bays Shorezone Fish & Blue Crab Survey, the Volunteer Diamondback Terrapin Survey, Continuous Water Quality Monitoring Program, and the Horseshoe Crab Survey and Tagging Project.

Before taking a position with the Center, Zach worked for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation as the Program Manager at the Karen Noonan Center, and for the Maryland Coastal Bays Program as a Chesapeake Conservation Corps Member. Zach holds a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Zach grew up in Bowie, Maryland before moving to the Eastern Shore in 2017. In his free time, he enjoys film photography, vegetable gardening, woodworking, and enjoying all-natural resources that the Delmarva Peninsula has to offer.
