The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays (Center) and Maryland Coastal Bays Program (MCBP) are excited to offer “Journey Up the Coast: An In-Person Exploration of the Inland and Coastal Bays” for children ages 6-12 this summer! This unique education program will include a series of fun, interactive activities focused on topics such as watershed, estuaries, and wildlife guided by the Center and MCBP environmental educators.

There are two date options for the program. When registering, please select one or both options. Please note that each day takes place at a different location and will offer slightly different activities.

Day 1: Thursday, July 6th from 9:00-12:30 pm at Assateague State Park in Berlin, MD
Day 2: Thursday, July 13th from 9:00-12:30 pm at the James Farm Ecological Preserve in Ocean View, DE

This program is free, but donations are greatly appreciated and will help support Center and MCBP educational programming. Donations to the Center can be submitted through the following link: https://tinyurl.com/vbc5tf8m. Donations can also be accepted on the day-of in the form of a check made out to “Delaware Center for the Inland Bays” with “JUTC” written in the memo line.

Safety is always a priority throughout the duration of our educational programs. The Center and MCBP are following all federal and local guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 and its impacts on youth programs. During JUTC programs, participants are not required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. The entirety of our programs take place outside, but it is not always possible to maintain a six-foot distance from one another during program activities.

Please send any additional questions to the Center’s Head Environmental Educator, Jackie Knoll, at jknoll@inlandbays.org
