Kids Day at the Preserve: Oysters

Discover the power of the Oyster! Sometimes referred to as “nature’s engineers” or “vacuums of the bay,” oysters play a critical role in keeping our Inland Bays clean. They also provide a structural support for reefs for additional marine life. Kids will get a closer look at these bivalves in action, watching as they actually filter water. Individuals will investigate their anatomy, life cycle, and function.

This program is weather permitting. Attendance is FREE.
